Mira Lehr & Hunt Tackbary | 11 | Visual Merchandising, Value of Art & The Story Behind Design

This is Curated Chill, the aspire design and home podcast. I’m Josh Cooperman, director of broadcast media for Hudson One Media. On the show today, you are going to be hearing from artist Mira Lehr, an extraordinary talent and Hunt Tackbary, director of showroom art for Holly Hunt. This is a conversation about art, of course but also about visual merchandising, the business of art and how art is so inextricably tied to interior design.

Lehr is a multi-disciplinary artist with a fun really interesting story about new beginnings and constant reinvention. Her work is significant and compelling. Her work with fire, gunpowder, steel and dyes is, to me in direct contrast with her soft-spoken demeanor. On the other side of this conversation is Hunt Tackbary. Tackbary is the director of showroom art for Holly Hunt. His views regarding “collectable design”, visual merchandising and the impacts of fine art of design showrooms creates another option for looking at the value and power of art in design.
